Application for high-cost nursing care combined medical expenses

If the combined amount of the copayments paid by a household for the year (from August 1st to July 31st of the following year) under the Medical Care System for the Elderly and the user's copayment under the Long-Term Care Insurance exceeds the self-payment limit shown in the table below, the excess amount will be refunded from both the Medical Care System for the Elderly and the Long-Term Care Insurance if the application is approved. Eligible persons will receive an application form from the Regional Association around March each year.
