People who can apply for continued use
- A person who has been issued a resident registry card or a person who belongs to the same household
- Legal representative of the person receiving the issuance ( Documents certifying the qualification of the legal representative, such as a copy of the family register or a birth certificate issued by a foreign government agency, etc., must be presented. )
- Arbitrary agent ( notification of appointment of agent is required)
Application method
Please apply for continued use at the counter when you move in or within 90 days after you submit your move-in notification. At that time, you will need to verify the PIN number on your Resident Registration Card. If someone from the same household is applying, please ask them for their PIN number.
Note: Once your PIN number has been verified, you will be able to continue using your card in the city, ward, town, or village where you moved. If your Resident Registration Card has a photo, your new address will be written on the back.
Note: When applying for continued processing through a voluntary representative, a "Confirmation Letter" must be sent to the person who has been issued the Resident Registration Card.
important point
- In the following cases, continuous use processing cannot be performed.
(1) 14 days have passed since you started living at your new address. (2) 30 days have passed since the scheduled moving-out date in the moving-out notification. (3) 90 days have passed since the moving-in notification date. - If you have forgotten your PIN or are unable to verify your account, you will need to reset your PIN, after which you will be required to continue using the service (There are conditions for resetting your PIN. - If the Basic Resident Registration Network System (Basic Resident Registration Network System) is not in operation, such as when the office is open on a holiday, you cannot continue using the service.
- The electronic certificate in the card cannot be processed for continued use. If you need an electronic certificate, please obtain a My Number Card.
