Every month, on Wednesdays, we collect "old cloth". Items that can still be worn are reused as second-hand clothing overseas, and after collection, they are recycled into sheets or rags by returning them to fibers, thus reusing them as resources.
However, if they get wet due to rain or other factors during collection, they cannot be reused, so old cloth put out on rainy days is unfortunately completely incinerated.

Even if you cover it with a plastic bag or similar as rain protection, it cannot be reused, so if the collection day for old cloth is rainy, please wait as long as possible until the next collection to put it out.

  • Note: Collection will take place even if it is raining.
  • Note: The "old paper" collected on the same day can be reused even if it is wet, so you can put it out even in rainy weather.
