Recycling of Household Pruning Branches

To promote the recycling of pruned branches, the city is working to reduce waste by chipping pruned branches with a vehicle-mounted crusher and using them as weed suppression material in parks.
When using the chipping service, please follow the procedures below, contact the Living Environment Division in advance, and confirm the work site before bringing in your materials.

How to Use

  1. Please contact the Living Environment Division by Friday morning of the week before the scheduled work date to confirm the work site according to the schedule below.
    (At that time, please provide your address, name, phone number, type of pruning branches, and approximate quantity).
  2. Please be sure to remove the leaves from Saturday to Monday and bring them to the work site yourself.
    • Note: Work will not be carried out if there are no applications.
    • Note: Grass and other waste generated by business operators and households cannot be brought in.

Target Items

Pruned branches with leaves removed

  • Pruned branches with a diameter of less than 8 centimeters
  • Pruned branches within 2 meters in length

Branches with leaves and removed leaves can be collected for free on burnable garbage days, up to 2 bundles (2 bags).
Pruning branches and other materials generated from agricultural work by farmers in the city (including production groups) can be brought to the Tama River Clean Center for free.

Prohibited Items

Branches with leaves, grass, turf, fallen leaves, agricultural products, bamboo, plum, lumber, toxic trees, decayed trees, etc.
Additionally, pruned branches handled by landscaping companies or pruning business operators cannot be brought in.
