Citizen Ordinance for Keeping the Town Clean

Purpose of Ordinance Establishment

This ordinance aims to ensure that each citizen observes manners and rules in their social life, and promotes the beautification of the city's environment through collaboration among citizens, business operators, landowners, and the city.

Responsibilities of the City, Citizens, and Business Operators

City's Responsibilities

The city will implement necessary measures to promote a clean and beautiful Community Development.

Citizen's Responsibilities

• When disposing of empty cans, cigarette butts, and general waste, please adhere to the disposal standards set by the city.
• When walking or exercising your dog, please carry equipment and take the waste home.
• When smoking in places without ashtrays, please carry and use a cigarette butt container.
• I will make an effort not to spit in public places.
• If you discover simple advertisements that may hinder Sound Youth Development, the beauty of the town, or traffic safety in public places, please make an effort to contact the relevant authorities (City Hall, police station, etc.).

Responsibilities of Business Operators

• We will strive to prevent littering and promote beautification activities in and around the business premises.
• Those who manufacture, process, or sell items that may cause littering shall take necessary measures, including raising awareness about litter prevention, for the purchasers.
• Those who sell packaged food and beverages shall set up collection containers and strive to recycle empty cans and other materials.

Responsibilities of Landowners

We will take necessary measures to prevent littering, the abandonment of dog and cat feces, and the placement of temporary advertisements on land that we own, occupy, or manage.

About Penalties

This ordinance is not intended for enforcement purposes, but in cases of particularly malicious acts, guidance, recommendations, orders, announcements, and penalties (fines and beautification activities designated by the mayor) will be applied.

The main player in promoting environmental beautification is "you." Each and every one of your efforts will create a clean environment free of litter such as cigarette butts and empty cans.
