Inagi City held a signing ceremony for the "Sister City Agreement for Friendship and Cooperation between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan, and Foster City, California, USA" on July 27, 2021 (July 26 in Foster City). Mayor Takahashi of Inagi City, Mayor Gehani of Foster City, President Ando of the Inagi City Sister City Friendship Exchange Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Exchange Association"), and President Okamoto of the Foster City Sister City Association signed the agreement.

The signing ceremony was held online, connecting the venues of both cities, in consideration of the situation regarding COVID-19.

In the future, based on this partnership, we will deepen mutual understanding and collaboration through exchanges in a wide range of areas such as youth exchange, cultural development, and tourism, aiming for the achievement of mutual sustainable development goals.

Sister City Agreement for Friendship and Cooperation between Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, United States

Inagi City, Tokyo, Japan and Foster City, California, United States, have established a Sister City partnership to promote friendship, cooperation, and goodwill between the two cities, based on mutual trust and respect.

The two cities enjoy the blessings of a wonderful natural environment and share the fundamental values of freedom and democracy.

We also share the belief that this Sister City relationship is beneficial for the citizens of both cities.

We hope to achieve mutual sustainable development goals and deepen mutual understanding and collaboration through exchanges in a wide range of fields such as youth interaction, cultural development, and tourism.

Through this partnership, both cities will work on mutually fruitful activities to deepen their understanding of each other's lives and traditions, and to develop in many areas.

This Sister City partnership agreement will be signed on July 26 and 27, 2021.
