Request for the expansion of nursery schools

I applied for a place in the one-year-old class at Wakabadai nursery school, but received a notice that it was unavailable, so I would like them to quickly set up a space for me. Regarding the expansion of childcare facilities, in accordance with the Inagi City Child and Childcare Support Project Plan and the Nursery School Development Policy, between FY2015 and FY2021, we have promoted the development of childcare facilities, such as opening three licensed childcare centers, one certified childcare center, and one home-based childcare facility, licensing two certified childcare centers, and privatizing four public childcare centers, while also expanding the capacity of existing childcare facilities by 950 people through measures such as making the capacity more flexible. As a result, there were zero children on the waiting list as of April 1, FY2021, FY2022, and FY2023. Going forward, we recognize that we will continue to consider necessary measures in light of the situation of children on the waiting list. 2 25th Request for support in administering HPV vaccines to boys Vaccination support is being provided for girls, but I would like to see vaccination support provided for boys as well. The HPV vaccine (quadrivalent) for administration to men received national pharmaceutical approval in 2020, and we are aware of its effectiveness, etc.; however, as for making it a routine vaccination, deliberations began in August 2023 at the Immunization and Vaccine Subcommittee of the National Council on Health and Science.
At present, HPV vaccination for men is not included in the routine vaccinations stipulated in the Vaccination Act, and is positioned as an optional vaccination. Therefore, the city does not plan to subsidize the vaccination costs, and will continue to closely monitor future national trends.

1 11th About the Wakabadai Station bus stop There are not enough benches at the bus stop, so I would like more to be installed. The city checked with the bus operator about the location of the existing benches at the Wakabadai Station rotary bus stop, and was told that they are located so that there is no problem with boarding and disembarking, whether you board from the front or the middle, and that they are not hindered when wheelchair users board and disembark using the ramp.We were told that it would be difficult to install new benches further forward than the current location.
In addition, regarding the issue of there being a mix of queues at bus stop number 2 for the Keio Bus Wakabadai Loop and the Odakyu Bus to Shin-Yurigaoka, we are considering installing signs that will allow passengers to line up according to their destinations.

2 11th About local buses The number of flights has been reduced since the timetable change on March 16th. What does this mean? The city has communicated the contents of the request to the bus route operator. In the process, we have confirmed the background to the implementation of this timetable revision, and we have been informed that due to a chronic driver shortage caused by factors such as the inability to secure the necessary number of drivers even when recruiting due to the working environment, including driver wages, and the need to comply with the "Standards for improving the working hours of automobile drivers," also known as the "Improvement Standards Notification," which will be applied to bus drivers and others from April 2024, it will be necessary to appropriately adjust the number of buses according to the driver availability in order to maintain the bus business, not only for this route.
Regarding this timetable change, we ask that you please understand the above-mentioned reasons when using our services.

3 The 22nd Road expansion The roads near my house are narrow, and I am having trouble with ambulances being able to reach my house. Are there any plans to widen the roads? The road in question is positioned as a district facility road in the Tama Urban Planning District Plan, Sakahamanishi District Plan, and there are plans to widen it to a width of 5m.
Regarding road development within the city, including the road you requested, we are setting priorities throughout the city and carrying out the work in a planned manner.
As a precaution until then, we will be installing warning signs to warn people about entering this road.

4 The 22nd About the Nanzan Land Readjustment Project Due to the ongoing land readjustment project, there are many vacant lots and a lot of dust. I understand to some extent, but why not suggest to the association and businesses that they use weed control sheets, etc.? As for the area on the southwest side of Nanzan BASE where you live, the construction work by the association has been mostly completed, and the area is now under the management of landowners including Nomura Real Estate. The timing of when to start using the land is left to the discretion of each individual owner, but we have contacted Nomura Real Estate, which owns a large amount of land, through the association to ask them to take measures against dust.
In addition, within the developed area on the east side of Yaoko, the association has been using sprinkler trucks to water the area as necessary, but the city will once again instruct the association to increase watering efforts during dry periods and will cooperate to complete construction as soon as possible.

1 15th day Regarding the posting of minutes of regular meetings of the Board of Education The minutes of regular Board of Education meetings on the website are only available up to May of last year, so I would like the most recent minutes to be posted sooner. In accordance with the Act on the Organization and Administration of Local Educational Administration, we strive to make the minutes of Board of Education meetings public without delay after the meeting has concluded. However, the Board of Education prepares the minutes by writing down the entire text, and it takes time to confirm, reconcile and scrutinize what was said with the contents of the minutes.
I have instructed the Board of Education to make efforts to publish meeting minutes as quickly as possible in the future.
