Measures based on the re-inspection of the intersection have been completed

Due to serious traffic accidents occurring at intersections with crosswalks in other prefectures, from May 11 to May 24, 2019, we conducted an emergency re-inspection of major intersections in the city by our staff to ensure pedestrian safety.
For the intersections on city roads that were determined to require "consideration of measures" during this re-inspection, we will sequentially implement measures such as the installation of guardrails, starting from the intersections with high priority. We completed the installation at 4 intersections in fiscal year 2019 and 28 intersections in fiscal year 2020.
Moving forward, we will continue to take various measures to prevent traffic accidents from occurring in advance.
