8th Inagi City Traffic Safety Plan

Overview

The "8th Inagi City Traffic Safety Plan" has been formulated, establishing a policy for traffic safety measures for five years starting from fiscal year 2024, following the expiration of the planning period of the "7th Inagi City Traffic Safety Plan" established in fiscal year 2017 at the end of fiscal year 2021. The plans and measures outlined in this plan will be implemented by Inagi City, Tama Central Police Station, relevant administrative agencies, traffic-related organizations, and business operators engaged in land transportation. Additionally, we will provide citizens with guidelines for traffic safety and call for initiatives related to self-help and mutual assistance in traffic safety.

Purpose

Preventing traffic accidents and other traffic disasters, as well as improving bicycle riding spaces and creating a road environment that is friendly to people, have become increasingly urgent and important issues. Therefore, the aim is to protect the lives of citizens from traffic accidents and other traffic disasters in the city, and to realize a town that is friendly to people, where they can live safely, securely, and comfortably.

Goal

1. Achieve zero annual deaths during the period until 2028.
2. During the period until the 8th year of Reiwa, the annual number of injured persons will be kept below 190.
