The Inagi City Fire Department was established on December 27, 1967, as the Inagi Town Fire Department. Subsequently, on April 1, 1970, the Inagi Fire Station was opened, strengthening its capabilities in fire and emergency response, and began fire and emergency services as a combined organization of the fire department and fire station based on the Fire Service Organization Act.
On November 1, 1971, with the enforcement of city status, the organization name changed to 'Inagi City Fire Department and Inagi Fire Station.' On April 1, 1974, a new fire station building was constructed, establishing the foundation of the current fire response system.
The organization of the Inagi City Fire Department and Inagi Fire Station consists of four divisions: Fire General Affairs Division, Fire Suppression Division, Fire Prevention Division, and Disaster Prevention Division, with fire personnel working in a three-shift system to respond to disasters such as fires and emergencies, protecting the lives and property of Inagi City residents 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
