Currently, as a measure against COVID-19, events are being canceled or postponed, leading to the generation of unused food, which may result in a large amount of waste in some cases.

Regarding unused food, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is working to collect information on unused food that is hoped to be donated to food banks, in order to reduce food loss and alleviate the burden of waste disposal, and to disseminate this information simultaneously to food banks across the country.

If you are having trouble disposing of unused food, please visit the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries website below.
If it cannot ultimately be used for food, including donations to food banks, please consider recycling it for use as feed or fertilizer (food recycling).

Please let us know your feedback on how to make our website better.
