Nature conservation areas

Inagi City designates the remaining valuable greenery as a natural environment conservation area based on the "Inagi City Ordinance Concerning the Protection of the Natural Environment and the Restoration of Greenery."

Criteria for Designating Nature Conservation Areas

The criteria for designating a nature conservation area are a green space of 1,000 square meters or more that meets one of the following criteria.
1 Public Green Spaces For public use, trees, Forest ( ) Areas in which the abovementioned are located that are in good natural condition or that can be improved to a good natural condition and that require conservation.
2. The greenery that creates the Inagi Scenic Green Space ring ( ) This area is located within the area and is important for maintaining a good view from the city.
3 Ecosystem conservation green spaces Areas that are habitats for flora and fauna and that require their protection or propagation, or areas adjacent to such areas where the habitat of said flora and fauna is expected to expand
Four Shrine and temple forests ( ) Green spaces etc.
Shrine and temple forests ( ) Areas where the location contributes to improving the living environment of citizens, etc.

Grant of subsidy

Once designated as a conservation area, incentives and management subsidies will be issued based on the "Guidelines for Subsidies for Protection of the Natural Environment and Restoration of Greenery in Inagi City."
