Forest Owner Registration System
Since April 2012, due to the amendment of the Forest Law, those who have become landowners of forests are required to submit a post-report to the mayor of the municipality.
In this case, forests refer to mountain forests, etc., located outside urbanization areas.
Notifiable Persons
Individuals and corporations who have newly acquired forest land in Inagi City through buying, selling, or inheritance. However, those who have submitted a notification of a land sale contract based on the National Land Use Planning Act are excluded.
Notification Period
Within 90 days from the date of becoming the owner of forest land.
Please note that if you do not make a notification or if you make a false notification, a fine of up to 100,000 yen may be imposed.
Notification Details
The notification form must include the address and name of the notifier and the previous owner, the date when ownership was acquired, the reason for the transfer of ownership, the location and area of the land, as well as the intended use of the land. As attached documents, a copy of the certificate of registered matters (a copy is acceptable) or a copy of the land sale contract and other documents that prove the acquisition of rights, along with a diagram indicating the location of the land, are required.
