Inagi City Urban Planning Council
The Inagi City Urban Planning Council is an organization that investigates and deliberates on urban planning matters or makes recommendations based on the Urban Planning Act when the city or Tokyo Metropolitan Government establishes urban planning (plans related to land use, development of urban facilities, and urban development projects aimed at the sound development and orderly maintenance of the city).
Urban planning is generally defined as a comprehensive plan aimed at rationalizing land use, providing unity to the composition of the city so that diverse urban activities can function adequately as a whole, and developing streets and other public facilities, which significantly impacts the lives of citizens by determining the future shape of the city.
Therefore, when establishing urban planning, decisions are made not only by administrative agencies but also through investigations and deliberations in councils composed of experts, council members, relevant administrative agencies, Tokyo Metropolitan Government staff, and city residents.
The members of the Inagi City Urban Planning Council are composed of up to 12 members based on the "Inagi City Urban Planning Council Ordinance."
In addition, the Inagi City Urban Planning Council can investigate and deliberate on matters related to urban planning at the request of the mayor, as well as make recommendations to relevant administrative agencies regarding urban planning items.
