Notification to the Sewerage Division

For both newly installed meters and existing meters, please continue to submit the notification of the start of use of the public sewerage system at the time of submitting the completion report for drainage facility construction (immediately after connecting to the public sewer). There is no change in the requirement for submission.
If the connection status to the sewerage system differs at the time of starting water use, please promptly submit the notification of the start of use of the public sewerage system to the Sewerage Division. (Example: Connecting a shared faucet to the public sewer, etc.)

In addition, for existing meters, the sewerage usage fee will be incurred by submitting the notification of the start of public sewer usage as before, indicating that sewerage is in use.

3 Background of the Changes

Currently, the coverage rate of the population served by the sewerage system in Inagi City is over 99%. Considering that most new meters are connected to the sewerage system, we will change the procedure for starting the use of the sewerage system.

Regarding the start of sewerage use, the procedures are mainly carried out by the designated sewerage construction company during the construction work, so residents of Inagi City do not need to go through the procedures for starting sewerage use due to moving in or out.

(1) What are the changes due to the modification of the sewerage (start of use) notification method this time?

For newly installed meters, sewerage fees will be incurred simultaneously with the start of water supply. Only new meters. For existing meters, sewerage fees will be incurred as before through the notification of the start of use of public sewerage. (4) In the case of an apartment, one meter will be used first, and the meters for the remaining rooms will be used after the rooms are completed. Will the customers moving in need to complete the start-up procedures themselves?
