Calculation of usage fees

Sewerage fees are calculated based on the table below.

• Note 1: When calculating the usage fee for one month, please refer to Table 1, and when calculating the usage fee for two months, please refer to Table 2.
• Note 2: Normally, calculations are made for a two-month period, so please use Table 2.
• Note 3: Due to the increase in the consumption tax rate and local consumption tax rate that took effect on October 1, 2019, the portion of the sewerage usage fee that includes consumption tax will change from 8% to 10%. A consumption tax rate of 10% will be applied to the sewerage usage fee calculated for December 2019.

Example 1: For a typical household with a monthly water usage of 20 cubic meters

(When calculated as 10% equivalent to consumption tax)

• 8 cubic meters or less
  560 yen
• From over 8 square meters to up to 20 cubic meters
  12 cubic meters × 110 yen = 1,320 yen
• Total
  560 yen + 1,320 yen = 1,880 yen

Monthly Usage Fee
1,880 yen × 1.10 (Equivalent of Consumption Tax) = 2,068 yen.

• For amounts exceeding 16 cubic meters and up to 40 cubic meters = 24 cubic meters × 110 yen = 2,640 yen
• Total
  1,120 yen + 2,640 yen = 3,760 yen

3,760 yen × 1.10 (Equivalent of Consumption Tax) = 4,136 yen.
