Visit to Yomiuri Giants Stadium

First, we went down from the stand to the ground for a tour.

The Yomiuri Giants Stadium has natural grass in the fair zone, but the foul zone has been replaced with artificial turf. The artificial turf contains natural material cushioning, which helps lower the surface temperature, contributing to heat mitigation during the summer. This artificial turf is also said to be adopted in the new Yomiuri Giants Stadium, which will be completed in Inagi City in March 2025.

Next, we toured the bullpen (pitching practice area), the bench, and the indoor practice facility attached to the stadium, exploring every corner of places that are usually off-limits.

Visit to the New Yomiuri Giants Dormitory

In addition to the players' rooms, we toured the new Yomiuri Giants dormitory, which was just completed in November 2023, including the training room and indoor pool. Since it is a special place that cannot be accessed after the players move in, all the participants were very eager to take a look.

At the end of the tour, we were provided with a lunch featuring the same menu that the athletes had in the dormitory cafeteria. The main dishes for the day were "Curry Nanban Soba/Udon" and "Taco Rice," along with salads and small side dishes, offering a delicious and nutritious selection to support the athletes, which left all the participants very satisfied.

Parent-Child Baseball Workshop by the Yomiuri Giants Women's Team

A baseball clinic was held by the Yomiuri Giants women's team, directed by Kazuchi Miyamoto, the tourism ambassador of Inagi City.

The female team players taught the basic actions of baseball, such as hitting, catching, and throwing, in a fun and easy-to-understand way from the children's perspective. Among the participants, there were children who had no prior experience in baseball, but they listened carefully to the coaches and engaged enthusiastically.

In the end, the female team members also joined in for a mini-game. The indoor practice facility was very lively with the intense developments!

Towards the completion of "TOKYO GIANTS TOWN"

At the end of the tour, a flag for the "G-DREAM Project" was prepared, where participants could write down their "dreams" and "thoughts" for the new Yomiuri Giants stadium, which is being built.
The flags that were written on will reportedly be displayed at the opening ceremony of the new stadium.

This tour was conducted in cooperation and collaboration with the Yomiuri Giants, Yomiuri Land, and the Mayor of Inagi City as an initiative to foster enthusiasm for the completion of "TOKYO GIANTS TOWN".

In the future, we will enhance the momentum towards the opening of the new Yomiuri Giants stadium in March 2025 and the grand opening of "TOKYO GIANTS TOWN" during the fiscal year 2026, while implementing various initiatives to provide a vibrant and lively town for our citizens.
