Inagi City and Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture have concluded a Friendship City agreement.

Inagi City concluded a Friendship City agreement with Soma City in Fukushima Prefecture, which has deepened exchanges through support for recovery and reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake, on August 18, 2015.

In the future, we would like to promote a wide range of exchanges among residents based on this agreement and deepen our friendship further.

Friendship City Agreement

In response to the significant damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, Inagi City, Tokyo, began supporting disaster victims with a spirit of friendship immediately after the disaster, and the citizens have been working together on recovery and reconstruction.
Through various projects for this support, we aim to cherish the friendship that has blossomed between the citizens of both cities and to assist each other's development by concluding a Friendship City Agreement.
