Third Wednesday of July

Citywide Crime Prevention Patrol

In order to ensure the safety and security of children and the community, before the summer vacation, the Inagi City Safety and Security Community Development Promotion Council, with the cooperation of volunteer organizations for crime prevention, is conducting a citywide crime prevention patrol.

Public Pool Open

There is a children's pool, a lazy river pool, a slide pool, and a 25-meter pool, allowing both small children and adults to enjoy and become familiar with water in a fun way.

  • Usage period: From mid-July to the end of August
  • Usage hours: From 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding the days of the citizens' swimming competition)

Environmental Beautification Citizen Movement

The Environmental Beautification Citizen Movement is a city-wide cleanup organized by the heads of Neighborhood Associations and representatives of management associations in each district, with the promotion headquarters taking the lead. It started in 1975 with the aim of keeping our town clean by our own hands.

Inagi City Citizens' Charter Promotion Day at Yomiuriland

Quiz rally to learn about the "Inagi City Citizen Charter"

The Inagi City Citizens' Charter Promotion Council conducts various projects under the theme "Let's Expand Community Development with the Charter." As one of these projects, to allow children to enjoy a day during their summer vacation and to familiarize them with the Citizens' Charter, we will offer free admission to Yomiuriland for one day as "Inagi City Citizens' Charter Promotion Day."

  • Target: Residents, students, and preschoolers in the city

Inagi Festival

The Inagi Festival is a Japan-U.S. exchange event held every summer. On the day of the event, there will be band performances and food stalls.

August 7

Events of Myoken-son's Snake (Designated Cultural Property of Tokyo)

This is an event held every year on August 7th at Myoken Shrine (Myoken-ji) to pray for good health and safety.
Reed that has been harvested is twisted together to create a large serpent that is between 100 and 150 meters long. It is believed that touching this serpent will protect one from disasters and illnesses.

Anazawa Tenjin Shrine Festival

The nationally designated important intangible folk cultural asset "Edo no Satokagura" and the Inagi City designated cultural asset "Anazawa Tenjin Shrine Lion Dance" will be dedicated.

  • Location: 3292 Yanokuchi, Inagi City
  • Transportation: About a 10-minute walk from Keio Yomiuri Land Station

Citizen Swimming Tournament

Competitions will be held in five categories: elementary school students, junior high school students, those aged 35 and over, those aged 45 and over, and open.

  • Eligible individuals are elementary school students and above who reside, study, or work in the city.
  • Venue: Community Pool
