People began to inhabit our hometown Inagi about 20,000 years ago.
This was during the Paleolithic period, and stone tools used by people at that time were discovered on the hills of Sakahama and Hirao.
The discovered stone tools tell us about the lives of people during the colder and harsher Paleolithic period.
This marks a page in the history of the Paleolithic period inscribed in our hometown Inagi.
As time passed, the Jomon period, Yayoi period, and Kofun period followed, leading up to the present day, where a long history of people has been cultivated.
