For those who purchase gasoline in portable cans
Updated: January 6, 2021
In response to the explosion and fire that occurred in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto Prefecture in July 2019, a ministerial ordinance (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 67 of 2019) was promulgated to partially revise the regulations regarding the regulation of hazardous materials. As a result of this revision, when purchasing refilled gasoline containers, it is now mandatory to verify the identity of the person, confirm the purpose of use, and create a sales record.
