Regarding proper labeling on disinfecting alcohol containers
Update date: May 12, 2023
There are cases where some products of rubbing alcohol are not properly labeled as containers for hazardous materials.
Please check the following labels for disinfectant alcohol containers:
1 Labeling of containers with a maximum volume exceeding 500ml
Please check the markings on the outside of the container such as ``Dangerous Goods Name'', ``Danger Class 2'', ``Chemical Name'', ``Water Solubility'', ``Quantity'', and ``No Fire.''
2 Labeling of containers with a maximum volume of 500ml or less
Please check that the outside of the container is marked with "the common name of the hazardous material," "quantity," "no open flames" or other markings having the same meaning as "no open flames."
Common names for hazardous materials include "ethanol" and "disinfectant ethanol," and other signs that have the same meaning as "no open flames" include "do not use near open flames" and "keep away from open flames."
