QuestionIs there a refund for Medical Expenses when a large amount is paid to a medical institution? Also, is any procedure necessary?

Response

If the amount of burden for one month exceeds the self-burden limit, the excess amount will be reimbursed later. Additionally, if there are multiple Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care recipients in the same household, the self-burden amounts can be combined, and if they exceed the burden limit for outpatient and inpatient care (on a household basis), high-cost medical expenses will be provided.
Please note that meal costs during hospitalization (a separate standard burden amount is determined) and extra bed fees are not eligible for reimbursement.
