QuestionI will soon turn 75 years old. Is it necessary to go through the procedures for Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care?

Response

There may be a need. For more details, see below.

(1) Those who are enrolled in the National Health Insurance

(For both National Health Insurance and Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care) No procedures are necessary. You will automatically become a insured person from your 75th birthday.

(2) Those who are enrolled in social insurance, etc.

No procedures are necessary for Late-Stage Elderly Medical Care. However, you will be withdrawing from your current social insurance (employee insurance). For more details, please consult the person in charge at your business.
