My Town Inagi 2016 Ryuto Akatsu

Updated: October 11, 2016

Aiming to become a “World Champion” in karate

Akatsu, who devotes himself to karate practice every day, is in the third grade of elementary school and attends Wakabadai Elementary School. At the 3rd All Japan Junior Championship Karate Tournament held in November last year, he won 4th place in the 2nd grade elementary school category. And I have decided to participate in the world tournament (friendly match) of the total Kyokushin Karate that will be held in October this year.
Sokyoku Karate is an organization established by people who want to practice mainstream Kyokushin Karate after Kyokushin was divided into various schools. At Sokyokushin Shiyukai Inagi Dojo, where Akatsu-san belongs, people are divided into classes based on age, etc., and people between the ages of 4 and 60 are sweating every day.

Mr. Akatsu first encountered karate when he was four years old. Currently, I am working on full-contact karate, a direct-strike system karate, and I am training three times a week with the aim of training my physical strength, improving my technique, and training my mind.
Last year, when I finished in 4th place, I was able to improve my ranking by making the most of my specialty roundhouse kick. When the match starts, he always thinks, "What technique should I do, what kind of technique will come?" He told me about the results of the practice that even if the technique hit, it didn't hurt much.
Akatsu will participate in the world competition in October 2016. He told us powerfully that he wants to play an active role like the karate players he admires. Let's look forward to Akatsu-san's appearance in the world competition and support him.
