Unlike earthquakes that occur suddenly, information about flood damage can be obtained in advance. The government has also tightened the numbers on the Tama River dangerous water level, and issued evacuation preparation information even when the numbers are low.
(For the Oshidate area only) Regarding the evacuation route in the event of a flood from the Tama River, the Tama River flows east to west, and the Tama Hills are to the south, so please evacuate to the west or south. Evacuation centers are not designated by area, so you can go anywhere. In the event of a flood, 3rd and 1st middle schools will be the places to evacuate. In addition, in the event of an earthquake, you can use any nearby location such as 4th grade, 4th middle school, Kudanseien, Kita-Ryokuchi Park, etc.
How to escape at night or during heavy rain. The city cannot pick up all residents. Evacuation is basically done on foot (traffic caused by traffic jams). A pre-registration system has been established for people who are vulnerable to disasters, such as the physically disabled and the elderly. The information on those who have registered is kept by neighborhood associations, fire departments, and voluntary disaster prevention organizations, and in the event of an emergency, the system requires those eligible to provide a certain level of assistance when evacuating.
Regarding disaster prevention, I would also like to ask all residents to engage in self-help and mutual assistance. Please keep the city's disaster prevention map handy and check the evacuation centers in your area in advance.

Declining community association membership rates are a nationwide issue. Mutual assistance is important when considering disasters, etc., and from this perspective, neighborhood association activities are the backbone of local communities.
However, the city cannot force people to join a neighborhood association. To encourage membership, the city is taking initiatives such as posting notices in the newsletter and handing out flyers to people who have moved in at counters when they complete the transfer process.
Although this is not an issue that can be solved immediately, I would like to continue working on it by exchanging ideas with everyone in the neighborhood association.

[About city hall parking lot construction and charging]
