Payment Method

The following methods are available for paying Inagi City's city taxes (city/metropolitan inhabitant tax, property tax/city planning tax, light vehicle tax (by type), corporate municipal tax) and National Health Insurance tax.

Account transfer

By applying in advance, this method allows you to automatically transfer money from your designated savings account on each payment deadline. You don't have to worry about forgetting to pay, receiving reminders or late fees, or missing a refund claim . There is no need to carry cash, so you can pay your taxes safely and securely.

Note : Please note that bank transfers are not available for past years, delinquent amounts, city and metropolitan inhabitant tax (special collection), and corporate municipal tax.

This method involves bringing the payment slip to the designated payment location. Please see the table below for payment locations.
Please note that you can make your payment at designated convenience stores nationwide 24 hours a day (this may vary depending on the store), so please take advantage of this.

Mizuho Bank, Resona Bank, Saitama Resona Bank, Kiraboshi Bank, Bank of Yokohama, Yamanashi Chuo Bank,
Sawayaka Shinkin Bank, Jonan Shinkin Bank, Tama Shinkin Bank, Chuo Labor Bank,
Tokyo Minami Agricultural Cooperative Association, each agricultural cooperative association in Tokyo (excluding islands)

2. Japan Post Bank Japan Post Banks and post offices in Tokyo, Yamanashi and other prefectures in the Kanto region

3. Financial institutions, Japan Post Banks, and post offices nationwide that support the unified local tax QR code (those with the unified local tax QR code (eL-QR) printed on the payment slip) 

4 Convenience stores Kurashi House, Three Eight, Seikatsu Saiya, Seven-Eleven, Daily Yamazaki,
FamilyMart, Poplar, Ministop, Yamazaki Daily Store,
Lawson, MMK installed stores

5 Inagi City Hall (Mizuho Bank City Hall Police Office)
6 Hirao Branch, Wakabadai Branch

Note 1 : City/Metropolitan inhabitant tax (special collection) and corporate municipal tax cannot be paid at convenience stores.
Note 2 : Payment slips with an amount exceeding 300,000 yen, those without a barcode on the surface, those whose barcode cannot be read, and those whose handling deadline has passed cannot be paid at convenience stores.
Note 3 : When paying at a convenience store counter, late fees will not be recalculated. If you pay after the due date, you may be charged a separate late fee .
Note 4 : At Inagi City Hall, in addition to weekdays, payments can also be made at the Storage Department on the 2nd Sunday and 4th Saturday of each month, which are holidays .

Electronic payment using local tax unified QR code (eL-QR)

You can make the following electronic payments using the unified local tax QR code (eL-QR) printed on the payment slip.

  • Credit card payment
  • Electronic money payment payment (Pay app, etc.) (Note 1)
  • Internet banking payment
  • Direct payment
  • Pay-easy ATM payment

Note 1: Electronic money payments can be made by reading the unified local tax QR code directly from the compatible app.
Note : City and Metropolitan inhabitant tax (normal collection), property tax/city planning tax, light vehicle tax (classified), and National Health Insurance tax are subject to this tax.
Note: Fees for credit card payments will be borne by the user.
Note: A receipt will not be issued if payment is made using a QR code.
Note: After payment, it takes a certain period of time for the city to confirm payment, so if you need a tax payment certificate right away, please pay at a financial institution or convenience store and present your receipt to the storage department.
Note: Smartphone payment app payments and mobile cash register payments using the barcode on the payment slip ended at the end of March 2020.

The Local Tax Law Unified QR Code (eL-QR) will be printed on the payment slip.

Local tax common tax payment system (eLTAX)

This is a method of paying using the local tax common tax payment system (eLTAX) via the Internet from a computer.

Note : This applies to city and metropolitan inhabitant tax (special collection), city and metropolitan inhabitant tax related to retirement income, and corporate municipal tax .
