Beware of Refund Scams!

There has been an attempted fraud in which a person pretends to be an employee of Inagi City Hall on the phone and deceives money by pretending that there is a tax refund.

Instruct the victim to go to the financial institution by saying things like, ``I have a tax refund.We will transfer the money to your account, so please go to your local financial institution with your cash card and mobile phone.'' After that, the criminal will have the criminal transfer the money to his or her account, saying things like, ``I'll show you how to use your mobile phone to receive your refund.''

Regarding tax refunds, the city hall never calls citizens to guide them to financial institutions and teach them how to operate machines. If you receive such a suspicious phone call, hang up and contact the relevant departments of the city hall, the police, the tax office, or other relevant organizations.
