The Individual Number Notification is a document that informs you of your 12-digit individual number (My Number).
The document includes information such as "Name", "Date of Birth", and "My Number (Individual Number)".
The Individual Number Notification will be delivered by simple registered mail approximately 2 to 3 weeks after being registered in the Certificate of Residence.

Note: Due to the amendment of the law, notification cards have been abolished. Therefore, for those who obtain their My Number after May 25, 2020 (such as those who have lived abroad or those born on or after that date), we inform them of their My Number by sending a "Personal Number Notification Letter."

Those who have already been assigned a My Number will not receive it.

Important Notes Regarding the Individual Number Notification

  • The Individual Number Notification cannot be used as a "document to prove the My Number" or as an "identity verification document".
  • The individual number notification cannot be reissued.
  • The My Number listed on the Individual Number Notification is an important number that you will use for your lifetime. Please store it carefully and do not disclose it to others unnecessarily.

Documents to Prove My Number
