Overview of the Project

This is a grant provided by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to support initiatives (events, activities, etc.) organized by neighborhood associations and town councils that address local issues. For more details, please check the link below.

Target Organization

Neighborhood Associations located in Tokyo

Target Business

This is an initiative (event, activity, etc.) organized by the town association or Neighborhood Association, aimed at solving local issues through the participation and utilization of many local residents, to be implemented and completed between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
Note: Projects that are deemed not to align with the purpose of the grant may be excluded from eligibility.

Initiatives for Solving Local Issues

Examples of Projects
  • Intergenerational exchange events, local festivals, Bon Odori
  • Creation of brochures and promotion of membership through their utilization

B Initiatives that lead to the promotion of specific measures undertaken by Tokyo Metropolitan Government

Examples of Projects
  • B-1 Disaster Prevention and Energy Saving Activities
    Disaster prevention training, training using disaster prevention manuals, energy saving workshops
  • B-2 Support for Children and Youth Development
    Events involving children in planning and management, job experience programs, nature experience classes, children's traffic safety classes
  • B-3 Monitoring Activities for Older Adults and Others
    Monitoring for Older Adults, monitoring for children commuting to and from school, Parenting exchange salons, children's cafeterias
  • B-4 Crime Prevention Activities
    Crime Prevention Patrols, Crime Prevention Workshops
  • B-5 Creating a Multicultural Society
    • Cross-Cultural Experience and International Exchange Events
    • Creation of Disaster Prevention Manual for Foreigners and Training through Its Utilization

B-S Initiatives that Lead to the Promotion of Specific Measures that Tokyo Metropolitan Government Should Urgently Address

  1. Digital Utilization Support
    • Distribution of community events using online tools
    • Workshop on How to Use Digital Devices such as Smartphones and Tablets

C Efforts to solve local issues implemented jointly by multiple single neighborhood associations.

Examples of Projects
  • Evacuation shelter management training conducted jointly by two neighborhood associations
  • 5 Town Association Sports Festival

D Initiatives for solving local issues implemented by a single neighborhood association in collaboration with other regional organizations (excluding neighborhood associations and local governments).

Examples of Projects
  • Community exchange event in collaboration with the shopping district
  • Evacuation drills in collaboration with Senior Welfare facilities
  • Job Experience Program in Collaboration with Local NPOs

Target Limit Amount

  • Target projects A, B... A single neighborhood association is 200,000 yen, and a district federation neighborhood association is 1,000,000 yen
  • Target Project C…Single Neighborhood Association (Joint) 500,000 yen
  • Target Project D... Single Neighborhood Association (Collaboration) 300,000 yen

    From April 1 (Monday) to May 13 (Monday)
  • Deadline for Submission of Original Documents
    May 31 (Friday) by 5:00 PM (must arrive)
Early July Projects to be implemented after July 10
3rd
  • Reception Period
    From June 3 (Monday) to August 9 (Friday)
  • Submission Deadline for Original Documents
    August 30 (Friday) by 5 PM (must arrive)
Early October Projects to be implemented after October 10
4th
  • Reception Period
    From September 2 (Monday) to October 18 (Friday)
  • Submission Deadline for Original Documents
    November 1 (Friday) by 5 PM (must arrive)
Early December Projects to be implemented after December 10
  • [Note] Each organization can apply only once within the fiscal year.
  • [Note] Please prepare a draft of the Application Form and be sure to submit it during the acceptance period before conducting a preliminary consultation. After completing the preliminary consultation, you will need to submit the original document by the deadline.
