Evacuation Call with 'You Must Escape'
Let's make a "You have to escape call" to encourage evacuation to protect your loved ones during a disaster!
The "Nigenakya Call" is an initiative where family members of Older Adults living in distant locations directly call to urge evacuation actions when there is an imminent risk of flooding or landslides in nearby rivers, based on information received via smartphones and other devices.
The flow of the 'Nigenakya Call'
- Obtain a disaster prevention app on your smartphone and register for your local area.
- You will receive push notifications when disaster information is issued for the area registered in the disaster prevention app.
- Check the push notifications of the disaster prevention app and make phone calls to important people to encourage evacuation, such as making a "must escape" call.
- If you receive a call, please start evacuation actions.
- Please evacuate to safe places such as evacuation shelters and evacuation sites.
For information on app settings and registration methods, please check the website of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism below.
