Lending of Space Radiation Measurement Devices
The city will lend out radiation measurement devices. The lending method is as follows.
Overview
1. Those who can borrow
Persons who meet any of the following criteria and are 20 years of age or older
- Residents and workers in the city
- Representatives of corporations and organizations that have offices in the city
2. Rental Models
Scintillation-type simple radiation dose meter (PA-1000 Radi)
Caution: This is a device for measuring ambient radiation levels. It cannot measure radioactive substances in food, water, soil, etc. (in becquerels).
3. Number of Rental Vehicles
One device per application
4. Loan Unit
Rentals are available on a daily basis on weekdays.
The rental hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM.
5. Lending Counter
The lending and return of equipment will be conducted at the Environmental Conservation Section counter on the 2nd floor of City Hall.
6. Required Documents for Lending
- Documents that can confirm the identity (driver's license, photo-based residence card, etc. official documents issued by public institutions with a photo ID)
- Loan Application Form (You can download it from the attached file below. You can also fill it out at the Environment Department counter when borrowing.)
- Employee ID, etc. (If applying as a corporation, we will verify the affiliation of the person who comes to the counter.)
In addition, there may be cases where you need to prepare documents such as a power of attorney. Please confirm at the time of reservation.
Note: Regarding various notification documents, due to the abolition of seal requirements, if there are any errors in the content, please correct them with a double line or similar method.
7. Others
- The rental cost is free. However, you will be responsible for the costs associated with management and consumables after the rental.
- When borrowing, please adhere to the lending guidelines as well as the manuals and precautions distributed at the lending counter.
- In the event of damage or loss of the measuring device, the person who borrowed it will be required to compensate for it.
Reservation Method
1. Reservation Acceptance Period
From one month before the loan date until the day before.

3. Reception Method
Please make a reservation directly by phone or at the counter.
4. Reception Hours
Weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM
5. Others
- If a reason for cancellation arises after making a reservation, please contact us promptly.
- Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Reservations are limited to one per person. It is possible to make another reservation after returning the equipment.
Notes
- Please conduct the measurements on land owned or managed by the person who borrowed the equipment.
- If you are measuring in a place owned by someone else, be sure to obtain permission from the owner in advance.
- Subleasing equipment to third parties is prohibited.
- Use for commercial purposes is prohibited.
- Please return the equipment in person by the individual who borrowed it.
- The city cannot be held responsible for any troubles related to measurements. Please take care to avoid injuries and accidents while conducting them.
- Cleaning based on measurement results should be carried out at the responsibility of the person who conducted the measurement. If you are cleaning someone else's land, please confirm with the owner before proceeding.
