When using a courier service

The city has entered into an agreement with the national certified Business Operators "Rinet Japan Recycling Co., Ltd." to dispose of over 400 types of small electronic devices, primarily computers, via courier service.
Since valuable metals such as rare metals are used in computers, please cooperate with recycling.

When requesting processing from the manufacturer

As of October 1, 2003, based on the "Resource Recycling Promotion Act," the collection of personal computers and computer displays by manufacturers has begun.
The city cannot collect personal computers and computer displays.

Disposal Method

Applications are made to each manufacturer, and collection is done via the nearest post office.
For self-built computers, those from defunct manufacturers, or imported items, please apply to the Japan PC 3R Promotion Association.

Collection, Transportation, and Recycling Fees

Items with the "PC Recycling Mark" purchased on or after October 1, 2003, require the collection, transportation, and recycling fees to be paid at the time of purchase, so only an application is needed at the time of disposal.

For items purchased by September 30, 2003, and those without a PC Recycling Mark, a fee will be charged at the time of disposal. The fees are set and announced by each manufacturer, but the standard fees are as follows.

Notebook Computer	3,000 yen
CRT Display	4,000 yen
All-in-one CRT display computer	4,000 yen
LCD Display	3,000 yen
All-in-one LCD display computer	3,000 yen

• Note 1: Consumption tax is required separately.
• Note 2: This fee is set by each manufacturer. Some fees may vary.
