As you descend the slope in front of the Central Library, you will see a sign for the entrance to Shiroyama Park on your left. If you leisurely climb the slope from that entrance, you will come to a pond called 'Hachinomaru'.
Yachinomaru used to have beautiful lotus flowers blooming, but now it has completely changed its appearance. Commonly referred to as Otama Pond, during certain seasons, you might see lively tadpoles and water striders. Walking along the paved path with the pond on your right and passing under the wisteria trellis, you will arrive at a spacious lawn area.
At the edge of the grassy square, there is a stone slide lying flat.
Little children should slide down with an adult holding their hand to prevent them from falling.
The grass is lush and feels great, making it a lawn that makes you want to run.
It's a park spacious enough to play tag, shouting 'Wait, wait!'
When it gets hot, take a break in the shade of the trees. You can eat your bento(Lunch Box), have some tea... Enjoy the picnic atmosphere.
