The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, special wards, and 26 cities and 2 towns have developed a "Project Plan" over the past three times to establish priority routes for the planned and efficient development of urban planning roads, working together in collaboration over approximately 10 years.
The "Urban Planning Road Development Policy in the Ward Area (Third Project Plan)" and the "Urban Planning Road Development Policy in the Tama Region (Third Project Plan)" are plans up to fiscal year 2015. To promote more efficient road development, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, special wards, cities, and towns have developed the "Urban Planning Road Development Policy in Tokyo (Fourth Project Plan)" that integrates the ward area and the Tama region under collaboration.
In this development policy, approximately 226 km of 320 locations have been selected as priority routes for development over the next 10 years (from fiscal year 2016 to 2025). Additionally, the scope of building restriction relaxations, which had previously targeted routes other than priority development routes, will be expanded to all routes. Moving forward, we will steadily advance the development of urban planning roads based on this development policy.

This maintenance policy can be viewed on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government website, at the Citizens Information Room (3rd floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1), and at the offices of each ward, city, and town. Sales of the maintenance policy are planned at the Citizens Information Room. For inquiries regarding the sale of the maintenance policy, please contact the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
