Street trees have the following roles.

  1. It adds color and a sense of the seasons to the streetscape, enhancing the landscape along the road.
  2. It protects pedestrians from the strong summer sunlight and helps mitigate the heat island effect by reducing the rise in surrounding temperatures through the transpiration of leaves.
  3. Leaves reduce carbon dioxide through photosynthesis and purify the air by adsorbing atmospheric pollutants.
  4. Separating cars and pedestrians to ensure pedestrian safety.
  5. We will mitigate noise from traffic.
  6. Prevents the spread of fire along the road and protects houses from collapsing during an earthquake.
