Tokyo Metropolitan Water Disaster Prevention Comprehensive Information System

Updated: March 23, 2017

In the heavy rain disaster caused by the typhoon that occurred in August 2016, the Omoto River in Iwate Prefecture overflowed, causing tragic damage in which users of elderly care facilities died. As this is becoming increasingly important, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government provides real-time information on the Internet through the Water Disaster Prevention Comprehensive Information System, which provides observation information from rain gauges and river water level gauges installed in the metropolitan area.
