Inagi City Evacuation Information Judgment/Communication Manual

Updated: October 23, 2024

In March 2019, the Cabinet Office announced in 2017 the "Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc.", based on the lessons learned from the heavy rains of July 2018. The actions that residents should take are divided into 5 warning levels so that they can take evacuation action by judgment, and the relationship between weather information and warning levels is clarified. We have added and enhanced the content so that you can intuitively understand evacuation behavior from the information.

In accordance with the "Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc.", the city revised the "Inagi City Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc." as the "Inagi City Evacuation Recommendations, etc. Judgment and Communication Manual."

In May 2021, based on the lessons of Typhoon No. 19 in 2019, the Disaster Countermeasures Basic Act was revised (promulgated on May 10, 2021, enforced on May 20, 2021). Improvements have been made to the 5-step alert level so that residents can make quicker decisions about evacuation, such as unifying alert level 4 with "evacuation orders" and alert level 5 with "emergency safety assurance."
