Inagi City Evacuation Information Judgment and Communication Manual
Updated: October 23, 2024
In March 2019, the Cabinet Office announced that, based on the lessons learned from the heavy rains of July 2018, regarding the "Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc." published in 2017, residents should be conscious of "protecting their own lives" and We divided the actions that residents should take into five levels of alert so that they could take evacuation actions at their own discretion, clarified the relationship between weather information and alert levels, and used alert levels to support residents' voluntary evacuation decisions. We have added and enriched the content so that you can intuitively understand evacuation actions from the information.
In accordance with the "Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc.," the city has revised the "Inagi City Guidelines for Evacuation Recommendations, etc." to the "Inagi City Evacuation Recommendation Judgment and Communication Manual."
In May 2021, based on the lessons learned from Typhoon No. 19 of 2019, the Disaster Countermeasures Basic Act was revised (promulgated on May 10, 2021, enforced on May 20, 2021). The five alert levels have been improved so that residents can more quickly make evacuation decisions, such as by unifying alert level 4 as ``evacuation order'' and changing alert level 5 to ``emergency safety assurance''.
