Frequently Asked Questions (Senior Welfare)
QuestionPlease tell me about the dining exchange meetings and meal delivery services taking place in the city.
Response
In the city, the Non-Profit Organization Minori, which supports each other, is conducting a dining exchange meeting and meal delivery service with the following details.
(1) Luncheon Exchange Meeting
This is a lunch exchange meeting held 11 times a month for Older Adults at Public Facilities in the city, including the Welfare Center. Volunteers prepare meals for everyone to enjoy, and after the meal, participants can enjoy recreational activities and receive information on topics such as preventive care. Anyone aged 70 and over is welcome to participate.
(2) Meal Delivery Service
This is a service that delivers dinner to households that have difficulty preparing meals, five days a week from Monday to Friday. It can be used on the necessary days for the required period. When starting the service, a visiting staff member will come to assess the situation of the user and will individually tailor the meal content and delivery method. We also confirm the presence of the user at home during delivery and provide monitoring. There is also a delivery service for New Year's dishes. Those who can use this service include households with Older Adults, Older Adults living alone, and those who have difficulty preparing meals due to illness or after childbirth.
A membership fee is required for both services.
