When my number card (personal number card) is lost, destroyed by fire, or damaged

If you lose your My Number Card, please follow the steps below.

1. First of all, in order to prevent abuse of the card, please contact the call center below and take the procedure for temporary suspension.
2. After pausing, please submit a lost property report to the nearest police box or police station. In addition, please be careful not to lose the receipt number of the lost item report, as it will be necessary in the procedure for reissuing the My Number Card in the future.
3. If you have lost your My Number Card and wish to have it reissued, please go through the procedures at the city hall or a branch office (charges apply).
4. If the lost card is found, the temporary suspension will be lifted, so please go to the city hall or a branch office.

It takes about a month and a half to receive your My Number Card from the time you apply for it to be reissued.

If you find your lost My Number Card, you can use it again by taking the procedure to cancel the suspension. Procedures are possible at the city hall or a branch office.

Even if you cancel the suspension of your My Number Card, the electronic signature certificate will not be canceled automatically. After canceling the temporary suspension of the My Number Card, procedures for revocation and reissuance are required. In that case, you will need to enter the PIN number (4 digits and 2 types of electronic certificate for signature) of the discovered My Number card.
