School Characteristics
This school has a history and tradition of over 130 years, with cherry trees aged 50 years standing closely together on the school grounds, making it a famous cherry blossom spot in our city. The PTA and the community have a deep collaboration, and people generously contribute their efforts to create a school environment with forests, ponds, and flower beds.
The most significant feature of our educational activities is the rice cultivation learning in the rice fields, which has been ongoing for over 30 years. There are many interactions with people, enriching the activities, and we continue to walk as the "School of Rice Fields."
