For those who need assistance with voting

Update date: March 6, 2024

proxy voting

If you are unable to write the name of the candidate on your ballot due to physical or mental illness or other reasons, please notify the polling station staff and the polling station staff will assist (write on your behalf) in voting on your behalf. You can vote by voting. However, accompanying family members are not allowed to write on the ballot paper .
Proxy voting can also be done by early voting.

Braille voting

Blind people can vote using Braille.
If you are planning to vote in Braille at a polling place, please ask the staff at the polling station and they will give you a ballot with a sign indicating that you are voting in Braille. Braille devices are also available at voting stations.
Braille voting can also be done in early voting.

Absentee voting by mail and proxy entry system

If you have a certain physical disability and have been issued with a disability certificate, or if you require nursing care level 5, you can vote absentee by mail from your home. For details on the conditions under which the system can be used and the procedure, please see the page below.

voting support card

This card is for those who need proxy voting or other assistance at a polling place (including early voting places) to notify the staff in writing if they are unable to do so orally.
If you would like to use a voting support card, please download the form below, print it out, write your desired support details, and present it to the person in charge at the polling place. At that time, if you bring your polling place admission ticket with you, the registration process will go smoothly.

Examples of support

  • I would like you to write on the ballot paper on your behalf (proxy voting)
  • I would like to have a written conversation
  • Please read the candidate's name
  • I want you to use the communication board
  • I would like to be guided around the polling station, etc.

Notes

  • Depending on the type of support desired, it may be difficult to provide support.
  • If printing is difficult, please write down on paper whether or not you would like to vote by proxy and any other necessary support.
  • When voting early, please write your name, date of birth, etc. in the oath column on the back of your polling station admission ticket and bring it along with your voting support card to speed up the process. You can do it.
  • This voting support card can only be used at polling stations within Inagi City.
