Notification of the National Land Use Planning Act

When a land transaction contract for a certain area or more is concluded, the right acquirer (buyer) shall notify the governor of Tokyo via the mayor of the municipality where the land is located within two weeks after the conclusion of the contract (including the date of the contract). is needed.
Subject of notification Notification is required for each contract for a group of land transactions (land transactions totaling more than the area shown in the table below).

Land transactions subject to notification
Buying and selling, bidding, disposal of reserved land (land readjustment), exchange, transfer of business, transfer collateral, payment in lieu, transfer of co-ownership interest, transfer of reservation completion rights, transfer of repurchase rights, transfer of trust beneficiary rights, transfer of status, etc.
Notification period: Within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the contract (including the contract date)
- Even in the case of a contract with reservation or suspension (cancellation) conditions, notification is required within 2 weeks after the conclusion of the contract.
- If the two-week deadline has passed, please notify us.
- If you make a false notification, you may be punished by law. (6 months or less imprisonment or a fine of 1 million yen or less)
Documents to be submitted: Submit 4 copies
Please submit 4 copies of the following documents (1 original, 2 duplicates, 1 copy of submitter's copy) to the Town Development Planning Division (city hall 3rd floor).
3 copies (1 original, 2 copies) should be bound in an A4 paper flat file and submitted. (no label required)
(1) Land sales notification form (2) Copy of contract (3) Location map (1/25,000 scale map)
(4) Map of the surrounding area (1/2,000 scale map: residential map, etc.)
(5) Floor plan (official map, etc.)
(6) Measured drawing (attached if trading based on measured area)
The format of the power of attorney is optional.
From January 1, 2021, it is no longer necessary to affix a seal on notification forms, proposal forms, and powers of attorney under the National Land Law.
