MLB CUP 2017 Runner-up The motto is all baseball

The Inagi Little League (4th and 5th graders) active in the city achieved second place in the MLB CUP 2017 (National Baseball Tournament for Little League 4th and 5th graders) held in July this year in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture.
A total of 16 teams that advanced from regional qualifiers across the country participated in the tournament. During the tournament, there were incidents such as rain causing games to be postponed to the next day, but the players approached the matches with great energy.
Although they achieved a wonderful result of second place in their first national tournament, the players were reportedly so disappointed that they broke down in tears after the match.
When I spoke with the captain and MVP of the pitching department, Shuji Yamada, he said, "I am happy with second place, but I am frustrated that we couldn't win. We 5th graders will work hard to aim for the world in the higher class, so I hope our juniors can achieve national victory."
With this frustration in our hearts, let's sweat on the Tamagawa grounds and support further growth towards national victory.
