Our Town Inagi 2018: Misato Ogihara
The stage for activity is the world - Inline Skating and Freestyle
Ogihara from Inagi Dai 1 Elementary School's 6th grade participated in the "Shanghai Slalom Open" (August 2017), which is a world championship. Competitors from various countries participated, and battles were held to determine the world number one for each category.
Ogihara was the only elementary school student to compete in the Junior Women's Classic Slalom.
Inline skating is a very popular roller sport in Europe, America, and China. There are aggressive competitions that involve jumps, speed competitions, as well as dance and hockey. Ogihara is challenging in "Freestyle Classic." Mini pylons are arranged, and she skates between them to music. There are various types of tricks, categorized into sit (squatting) and jump types, with higher difficulty tricks earning higher scores.
"I want to skate like Mao Asada!" At that time, 6-year-old Ogihara encountered inline skating. After improving her skills, she became active as a dance performer while also learning various tricks by watching online videos, and has been successful in domestic competitions for Freestyle Classic. Currently, she is practicing the highest difficulty trick called "Two Christie." Additionally, she is dedicated to enhancing her balance skills by taking ballet lessons and learning English for overseas expeditions.
In the fiscal year 2018, a higher-level world competition is scheduled to take place than the Shanghai Slalom Open. First, I am looking forward to securing a spot to compete, and I am very excited to see Mr. Ogihara shine on the world stage.
Mr. Ogihara's activities are being broadcasted on the "Challenging Inline Skating" website.
