A long-term repair plan has been formulated for bridges and tunnels managed by Inagi City that are over 5 meters in length. Currently, there are no bridges that have been in place for over 50 years, but in 20 years, half of the bridges will reach 50 years since their construction, leading to a rapid increase in aging bridges.
For this reason, the long-term repair plan has been developed with the following three main objectives.

Main Purpose of the Longevity Repair Plan

1. Cost Reduction through Longevity

By shifting from symptomatic treatment to planned and preventive maintenance, we aim to extend the lifespan of bridges while controlling medium- to long-term maintenance costs.

2. Budget Stabilization

By introducing preventive maintenance management and implementing repair work in a planned manner, we will stabilize future maintenance costs.

3. Ensuring the Safety and Reliability of the Road Network

By early detection of damages that could lead to accidents, and by systematically advancing bridge inspections, repairs, and replacements, we will maintain bridges in optimal condition to prevent disruptions to traffic and ensure the safety and reliability of the road network.
