This is the documentation required for those who have suffered damage due to a fire.

Disaster Damage Report

  1. The disaster report form is a document for those who have suffered fire damage within Inagi City to report their disaster situation to the fire department.
  2. The documents used for reporting are divided into "Real Estate Disaster Report," "Movable Property Disaster Report," and "Vehicle, Ship, and Aircraft Disaster Report" according to the buildings or properties that suffered fire damage.
  3. When receiving the disaster report, if it is recognized that there is a significant discrepancy with the results of the fire cause investigation, a correction may be requested.
  4. Since indirect damages due to the disaster are not included in the scope of the fire damage investigation by the fire department, please do not include costs such as fire extinguisher refills in the declaration form.
  5. The disaster report must be submitted to the Inagi Fire Station within approximately 7 days from the date of the disaster or the date the fire department became aware of the fire.
  6. Please be sure to check the example before filling out the disaster report form.

About Disaster Victim Certificates

  • The disaster certificate is a document that certifies the damage caused to buildings and other structures by fire, issued by the fire department.
  • Disaster certificates may be required when applying for fire insurance claims, tax reductions, and other procedures.

Please check whether a disaster certificate is required for each agency.

  • Note: Only those that can be proven to be recognized as a fire by the fire department will be accepted, so those not reported to the fire department cannot be certified.
  • Note: The issuance of disaster certificates for other disasters (such as earthquakes and wind and flood damage) is handled by the Taxation Division of the Department of Citizen Affairs at Inagi City Hall.
