Inagi City Small and Medium-Sized Commercial Store Opening Subsidy Program

In order to revitalize the city's commerce and create a lively atmosphere, we will subsidize a portion of the opening costs for those opening restaurants in the city for the first time.

Reception period

From Monday, April 1, 2020 to Monday, March 31, 2020
Note: The offer may end as soon as the budget amount is reached.

Application documents

(1) Application form for issuance (Form No. 1)
(2) Tax payment certificate (original) that can confirm the payment status of city tax
(3) Copy of notification form for opening or closing a business for a sole proprietorship (limited to sole proprietorships)
(4) Certificate of registered matters (limited to corporations)
(5) Copy of license (limited to projects requiring license)
(6) Documents showing details of expenses eligible for subsidy (invoices, etc.)
(7) Documents proving that subsidized expenses have been paid (receipts, etc.)
(8) Written oath (Form No. 2)
(9) Copy of document showing membership in the shopping district that has jurisdiction over the store or Inagi City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (10) Requirements confirmation check sheet (11) Copy of flyer etc. showing opening date

Flow from application to subsidy grant

(1) Please consult with the Commerce and Industry Section of the Economic Affairs Division before applying.
(2) After the preliminary consultation, please submit all application documents to the Commerce and Industry Section of the Economic Affairs Division (6th floor, Inagi City Hall) in person or by mail.
Note: If you send by mail, the postmark on the same day is valid. (3) After reviewing the submitted documents, the city will send you a notice of grant (or non-grant) decision.
(4) Once you have received the Notice of Grant Decision and the Grant Invoice, fill in the necessary information on the grant invoice and submit it to the Commerce and Industry Section of the Economic Affairs Division either in person or by mail.
(5) After submitting the invoice, the payment will be transferred to the financial institution account indicated on the invoice.
Note: It will take approximately one month from the submission of the application form to the transfer.

Target audience

Those who fall under both of the following (1) and (2) (1) Those who have opened a restaurant in the city for the first time and have opened within five months (2) Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Small and Medium Enterprise Basic Act Small and medium-sized businesses as defined in Item 3 (Service Business) (excluding those engaged in business as defined in Article 2 of the Act on Regulation of Entertainment Business, etc. and Business Properization, etc.)
 
Note: However, this does not include the following cases (1) to (8):
(1) Applicants who do not operate a store themselves
(2) Those who are in arrears with city taxes, etc.
(3) A person who is not likely to obtain licenses or other legal qualifications required to operate a business.
(4) A representative or officer who has been sentenced to imprisonment or more and is serving the sentence or is no longer subject to the sentence.
(5) An organization listed in Article 2, paragraph 2 of the Law Concerning Prevention of Unjust Activities by Organized Crime Group Members, or a person whose representative or officer is a member of an organized crime group listed in paragraph 6 of the same Article, and an individual who engages in activities that benefit such an organization
(6) Those who use a store that also serves as a residence (excluding cases where the store and residence are clearly separated)
(7) Those who close a restaurant operating in the city and open a new restaurant
(8) Those who have received a store opening subsidy in the past

Stores eligible for subsidy

A store that meets all of the following criteria (1) to (8): (1) A restaurant that contributes to the revitalization of the city's commerce; (2) A store floor area of ​​at least 15 square meters; (3) An eating and drinking area is provided within the store; (4) The store does not violate relevant laws and regulations; (5) The store is not contrary to public order and morals; (6) The store does not conduct political or religious activities; (7) The store is open for at least three hours per day between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; (8) The store is open for at least four days per week.

Subsidized expenses/subsidy rate

■ Eligible expenses for subsidies: Interior construction costs, exterior construction costs, electrical equipment construction costs, gas equipment construction costs, water equipment construction costs, air conditioning equipment construction costs, other equipment construction costs, purchase of machinery and equipment, and opening preparation costs (printing costs for flyers, posters, pamphlets, and other printed materials required in the store when opening the store)
■Subsidy rate: Up to half.
However, this will be limited to within the budget and 500,000 yen.
Note: Round down to the nearest 1,000 yen.
Note: If subsidies are received from the government, etc., the amount of said subsidies is excluded.
Note: Consumption tax and local consumption tax are excluded from eligible expenses.
