The Tama River Basin Partnership Council, which was established in May 2013, is a municipality that shares seasonal nature along the Tama River, which is filled with eternal flow. Komae City, Tama City, Inagi City, Ota Ward, Setagaya Ward, Kawasaki City, and Machida City) participated in the event and exchanged information and opinions on issues common to the Tama River Basin and wide-area cooperation measures to implement initiatives that transcend city limits. are connected.

Purpose of the initiative

The population of Japan as a whole is on a declining trend, and the impact of this population decline is one of the important issues in the Tama region as well. It is necessary to make maximum use of limited local resources effectively and efficiently, and to provide high-quality administrative services into the future.
Under these circumstances, each city of the cooperating municipalities in the Tama River basin will provide objective basic data such as population, finances, and land use, as well as industrial data and tourism information, to promote local resources and the attractiveness of the town. We will contribute to the further development of the region.

Promotion of EBPM (Evidence-based Policy Making)

By collaborating with other local governments, we will discover issues and grasp the actual situation of the city, and lead to policy planning based on evidence such as objective data promoted by the Cabinet Office.
We will enhance the attractiveness of the Tama River basin municipality, contribute to the further development of the town, and eventually to the promotion of the entire Tama area.

A lot of agricultural land is distributed.

In addition to the Tama River, Misawa River, Yato River, and the historical Daimaru Canal, a good waterside space is formed, and a variety of creatures inhabit the greenery and waterside.
