About correspondence of sports facility at the time of heat stroke caution alert announcement
Last updated: May 24, 2024
The Ministry of the Environment and the Japan Meteorological Agency issue "heatstroke warning alerts" and "heat indexes" in cases where hot environments with an extremely high risk of heatstroke are predicted, with the aim of encouraging people to take preventive measures against heatstroke.
In addition, starting in 2024, a "special heatstroke alert" has been implemented in addition to the existing heatstroke alert.
Unprecedented dangerous heat is predicted, so please take thorough measures to prevent heatstroke.
If the heat index (WBGT) reaches 31 or higher at the observation point in Hachioji or Fuchu, the day will be rescheduled. If you cancel the use of sports facilities (outdoor facilities only) due to heatstroke prevention reasons, we will transfer the usage fee, so please contact the manager of each facility by the specified time.
Please visit the Ministry of the Environment website (external link) for the latest information on "Heatstroke Special Caution Alerts," "Heatstroke Caution Alerts," and "Heat Index" announcements.
